Church Planting

After my meeting about the internship today,
I'm really considering church planting.

Skills needed of church planters:

(1) Strong leadership skills
(2) Evangelistic passion
(3) Strong relational skills
(4) High risk-taking
(5) Ability to fill various ministry positions where needed
(6) Administrative skills
(7) Vision

So I'm very much looking into church planting.

With the recommendations I have so far, I could go for a church plant in a college area, featuring a wide range of types of people.

I would go full-time evangelistic touring, but there's a big part of me that wants to settle in an area and care for a flock. I am convinced that my calling is pastoral, so in whatever format that takes, that'll be an emphasis.

But yeah, church planting seems really neat if that's where the Lord establishes me.

Other than that, internship approved on both ends unanimously, though on one end, there is concern about how much I would get back. I think we'll be pleasantly surprised. This opportunity seems too much like an answered prayer, but I'll definitely be praying/fasting over it in the next few days here.
