Yes, He DID Live a Difficult Life

Sterling Franklin

Imagine being the Son of God, in essence, God Himself, and having
others doubt You and Your Abilities. We find that Mankind would kill
their Maker, and brutally so.

Some revelation from God Himself showed others who Jesus really was.
The confession from Peter - that Jesus was the Christ of God - was a
revelation from God that is the basic foundation of the Church, too!

In Hebrews, we find some interesting things about aspects of Jesus'
Life...

(14) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed
into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
{15} For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the
feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we
are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the
throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in
time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Notice in verse 15: He was in ALL POINTS tempted like as we are, yet
without sin. Jesus showed us the way to OVERCOME the world. Through
Him we can live a life of Power and Overcoming through His Holy Spirit's
Guidance and Filling.

The devil tempted Jesus himself in the wilderness, accounted in both
Matthew 4 and Luke 4. Jesus refuted the devil's attacks with Scripture.
Each one, He didn't discuss the devil's requests/commands in depth, but
just stopped conversation with a CORRECT Bible Verse.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you. (James 4:7)

Jesus pointed out during His Lifetime once that we make errors because
the Word is not in us. Dwell on the word and study it diligently and
you won't have as much difficulty with sin. You WILL be attacked by the
devil, but you will be stronger against Him by the Power of God.

In our weakness, His Strength through us is perfected, and that's the
principle we need to work on. Jesus prayed that the Father's Will be
done, as He sobbed as praying one night before His Crucifixion. He said
"take this cup from me" and we need to do the same. We are often too
selfish and think we can accomplish a difficult task ourselves, but we
need to realize that we can't do it without God.

Without being connected to the True Vine - Jesus, we wither away as a
branch without connection. With Jesus, we can do ALL things through
Him, and He gives us the strength to do impossible tasks through Him.
God is SO Good!

Jesus was rejected and condemned, an attempt as His Stoning was
accounted. People thought He was a blasphemer since He said that He was
the Son of God. Look at the Old Testament (the Law) and you'll find
TONS of Prophecies fulfilled about Him.

Zechariah 9:9 tells that Jesus will come as the King, riding on a
colt, or donkey. Palm Sunday is all about that. People shouted
"Hosanna! Hosanna! Blessed be Him who comes in the Name of the LORD!"
The same human race killed Jesus on the Cross.

Think of a really introverted new kid in school. He feels alone
because he has nobody to really talk to yet, and doesn't like that. He
finally meets a few people, they get to know who he really is, and then
gets backstabbed for doing nothing wrong! The greatest backstab in
history was the one done to Jesus Christ! Thank the Lord that God the
Father had a plan in all this!

So no matter the scorn, no matter the shame He endured, no matter the
temptation, Jesus still said on the Cross, "Father, Forgive them, for
they know not what they are doing." What Love!!! How Loving is the
Lord? More loving than we can ever comprehend! He endured hardship,
even undeserved, and still gave Himself up for us on the cross to pay
for our sins. ...and Hallelujah! He is Risen, and we can have eternal
life through Him!
